Been so busy these days! I've been doing some renovations at my old apartment. Installing new flooring sure is easy but painting the kitchen turned out to be one of the hardest thing I've ever done. Painting itself isn't a problem, but all the preparations: taping here and there and covering the tiles with newspapers takes away several hours. Still gotta finish the kitchen...

On the other hand, I'm loving the new place I moved into. It has a convenient location and I love all the extra space I got now. The unpacking and settling is still taking a little while. Arranging furniture in long rooms is a challenge which requires a good sense of colour and space. Lets just say some deviantart pics and concept renderings of living rooms have come in very handy!

Im looking forward to designing a new website for an extracurricular club. Those templates on devart are gonna be very useful sources of ideas pretty soon!

Other than that, I'm thinking on reinstalling Ubuntu on a separate partition. Previously, my ubuntu installation slowed down along with my Vista installation. So i lost it, formatted the whole hard disk, and slapped on an installation of Windows 7. So far, everything's been running like a dream! There is literally zero need for tweaking, its just power on and go! Love that.
Oh yeah, I switched to Google Chrome, now my browser of choice because of its speedy browsing, speedy launching, and increased security due to the sandbox-y nature. Plus the tear away tabs are really handy and amazing (not like FF3.5, which reloads the tab if you tear it away). Also, Chrome's interface is the cleanest, most intuitive, and simplest I have ever used! And now that Adblock works in Chrome, I'm rather happy with it!

Finally, I'm waiting for an oppurtunity to go buy some Articsilver heatsink thermal paste and a bunch of screws+washers to fix my Xbox 360.
It was working fine one day, then I pop in a game, hit play, and while I am in the middle of a game, the screen freezes, sound hangs, and there are white artifacts that look like arrows on my screen. So I shut down my 360, turn it back on again, and this time the main menu gets all glitchy and is covered by similar artifacts. No red lights whatsoever. The third time around when I turn it on, the 360 finally gives me the red ring of death. damn. Getting it fixed by Microsoft requires about the same amount of money as getting a brand new 360. So screw that shit, I'm fixing it myself!

You're just another star that's burnt out too quickly. But I still see you, SHINING . I'm just another guy that's fucked up immensely, but you still love me. Why I don't KNOW. [link]
