How about a 3d desktop? one with an actual 3d-ness feel to it along with the 3d effects.. I gave it a shot and here it is.. not fully completed however.

Im further planning to include a my computer icon in the form of an actual computer, a couch screenlet or icon to open up either a tab for control center or stacks containing commonly used administrative programs..
